Durga Puja--the ceremonial worship of the mother goddess, is one of the most important festivals of India. Apart from being a religious festival for the Hindus, it is also an occasion for reunion and rejuvenation, and a celebration of traditional culture and customs.

To make the most of the bright and sunny weather, we hosted a barbeque lunch with games and contests. A grand feast and football was how the afternoon was spent. We had a great time meeting up and enjoying the sunny day.

A celebration to mark the occasion and make our next generation aware of Republic Day's importance in the history of India.
