Bengal needs your help

Hurricane Amphan, which passed over Bengal and Odisha recently caused damage to infrastructure and harvests worth at least $ 12 billion.

It was the most powerful hurricane in the area in twenty years. Thousands of houses have been destroyed and dikes washed away by the wind and floods.

At least 13 million people have been in trouble because of the hurricane. Many have lost their homes and their crops. More than one and a half million homes have been damaged. In the capital Kolkata and surroundings (14 million inhabitants), people were without electricity for hours.

Bengal authorities have requested the help of the military, railways and port authorities to restore infrastructure as soon as possible.

Its not only Authorities who needs to come forward, but all of us need to support rebuilding our cities and villages, provide necessary support to affected people.

Many of you already supported people of Bengal to fight covid-19 through Anandadhara COVID initiative and FEED. Let us again extend our generosity to help the people and government in need.

How your donation will be utilized ?

1. FEED will be running community kitchen in the Amphan affected areas.

2. A team of doctor and medical profession will travel to Agarhati, South 24 Parganas with medical equipment, water purifier and basic day to day necessities like rice, lentils, potatoes etc.
