Our Social Responsibility

Anandadhara was established primarily as a non-profit organization. We, as a part of the Dutch as well as Indian society, recognize that we have certain obligation towards these societies, as a community focused organization, as well as personal interest of all members who are part of this organization.

With an aim towards fulfilling these responsibilities, we have presented a roadmap below with the social causes and the campaigns that we are going to support in the Netherlands and in India.

Please feel free to come forward if you have other ideas of social contribution that we can try to do from our side, or if you have any personal interest towards contributing in any of these campaigns.

Dutch Cancer SOCIETY

KWF Kankerbestrijding

The KWF is determined to beat cancer as soon as possible. That’s why we fund and guide scientific research, influence policy, and share our knowledge about cancer and its treatment. We encourage our stakeholders and the public to do everything possible to help bring about the day when no-one else has to die of cancer. We’re getting there together.

Cancer affects us all. Every year around 45,000 people die as a result of cancer. The disease is the number one cause of death in the Netherlands. Less cancer, more healing and a better quality of life for cancer patients. That is the goal of KWF Kankerbestrijding or KWF. KWF Kankerbestrijding is determined to beat cancer as quickly as possible. Our ideal is a world in which nobody dies from cancer anymore. Our goal: fewer people with cancer, more people who are cured and a better quality of life for cancer patients. To achieve this, we raise funds to finance and support research into cancer.

We have three goals

  • Less cancer
  • More healing
  • Better quality of life.

Anandadhara is committed to fulfil its social responsibilities  in dutch society to provide better life enriched with Indo Dutch bond and care. Anandadhara screened one of the popular bengali movie named as "UMA". Uma, is a story (based on the true incident of Evan Leversage) about a young girl who is fighting a terminal disease, a father who is struggling to make his daughter's dreams come true and about a director whose past haunts him.

Anandadhara felt this is the right platform to contribute in the area of cancer research as a small tribute to the film and society.  In collaboration with KWF, anandadhara initiated a fund raiser event on the event day from our beloved movie patrons.

Helpling hand for everyone

Humanity Hospital

Humanity Hospital is a charitable hospital operating under the umbrella of Humanity Trust. The deepest pang of losing her husband who died untreated because they were poor and could not afford the much needed medical treatment, plowed in the mind of Subasini Mistry, the seed of creating a hospital which will stand by this large section of poor people in our country and save countless lives.
